It's our biggest challenge ever and we need your help to raise some smiles this Christmas, at a time when it's needed more than ever.
Last year we began an appeal to try and collect enough donated selection boxes to give to every child spending Christmas in the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. You guys smashed it and we had so many donations that not only did we give one out to every child spending Christmas in the hospital (including those that unexpectedly arrived in A&E) but we had extras and were able to give some to the local Children's Hospice South West site.
So this year we are setting the bar even higher, to be honest we may have bitten off more than we can chew, and we need as much help as we can get to make it happen.
We are aiming to collect enough selection boxes for EVERY SINGLE CHILD SPENDING CHRISTMAS AT BRISTOL ROYAL HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN AND...... EVERY CHILD BEING SUPPORTED BY CHILDREN'S HOSPICE SOUTH WEST... Yes that's right EVERY CHILD...across all three sites.
That's 500 selection boxes we need!!!
So, please can you help us make this happen? We realise the cost of living is tough right now but every single selection box counts. You can help by donating a selection box, asking friends or family to donate, organising a collection in the office or school and even just sharing this and posting on social media.
How do I get the donations to you?
If you personally want to donate please either bring them along to any parties or events you're attending before Christmas that Party Peeps are hosting and give them to the host. Or email info@party-peeps.co.uk to see if we can collect from you.
If you think you can arrange a collection in the office or school we may be able to send a van to you to collect large amounts. Please email info@party-peeps.co.uk to discuss. We have created posters you can put up in the office.
If you run a business or community centre, have a public accessible building and would like to act as a drop off point we could the collect these in bulk from you with a van. Please email info@party-peeps.co.uk to discuss.
Please DO NOT take your donations direct to the hospital or hospices. We have agreed with those delivery dates so they can easily manage accepting and distributing them to the necessary departments.
When do you need them by?
We need the selection boxes ASAP so we can distribute to the four sites, ideally by 19th December we will have hit our target.
What sort of selection boxes do you require?
ANY. Any size. Any brand. It might be nice to have some non chocolate ones (we have seen Haribo and Skittle ones) for those with that cannot eat chocolate.
